Aldermans Ford Park & Armadillos

So I went to Aldermans Ford Park today.
It was a beautiful day and NO ONE was there.. it was awesome...
So I walked quietly and observed and of course had my camera.
I really enjoyed myself.
So as I was walking and taking photos of the beautiful foliage, I came across this guy.
Now normally when you walk up on them they smell you or hear you and take off but he was so busy
furrowing through the forest that he didn't hear me.. but at one point I think he must have
picked up on my sound or smell because he stood up and wiggled his nose.
I know most people dislike them but I think they are intriguing and so ugly they are cute.
So here is some foliage shots and Armadillo shots.
The one tree reminds me of something that you would see in a Dr.Seuss book!
And the orange photo.. well I was walking down this path and all of sudden there were all these oranges in row.. I look up and there were two orange trees it reminds me that I live in Florida and how blessed I am to do so.  It is beautiful all year round and sometimes I forget how much I love it.

History abounds at this park. It was one of the first fording spots on the Alafia River and for many years a popular place for political campaigning in Hillsborough County. Enlarged to 1,141 acres, the scenic park includes the area where the Alafia River branches into its north and south prongs. The Alafia is one of the most popular canoe spots in the state, and the park includes a modern, erosion-free canoe launch. Several picnic areas are connected by a pedestrian/bicycle loop path, and a first-hand view of the abundant plant life is available on a self guiding nature study via accompanying boardwalk and foot bridges.
There is also a nice playground area and ball parks and a restroom near
the playground and one at the canoe launch site.

  1. Looking at an Armadillo really proves God has a sense of humor! Funny, yet ewww......it looks like a rat dressing for a prominant fashion show to walk a runway wearing an outfit no one would ever wear. Donna Bailey. :)
